The STOTT PILATES system is an anatomically based approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s. It incorporates modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles to improve core strength and balance the muscles around the joints to improve the way your body functions, looks and feels. Focus is placed on effective breathing patterns and precision and control of all movements for heightened body awareness.

Director & Pilates Instructor
Catherine’s love for pilates started when she realized the importance of gaining core strength and adding fitness to her daily life. Realizing how much pilates has helped her gain confidence and achieve a healthy lifestyle especially after a motor vehicle accident, she wanted to become an instructor to help others feel good about themselves too. Catherine has since then gotten professionally trained and certified by Stott Pilates in Mat Intensive, Reformer, Chair, Barrel, Cadillac, and completed the ISP course which focuses on in depth knowledge of Injuries and Special Populations. She is also a certified TRX and Pilates Suspension Method instructor and has worked alongside Physiotherapists and Kinesiologists in a clinical setting to help her clients more effectively. She continues to advance her knowledge and expertise in the fitness field to better assist her clients exercise in a safe but challenging environment.
Pilates Instructor & Personal Trainer
Elisabeth Szabo brings with her the expertise of a Can Fit Pro Certified Personal Trainer and BCRPA Pilates Instructor on mat, reformer, cadillac, chair. Her specialty is in the field of Athletic Conditioning and Rehabilitation. Being in the fitness industry for 14 years, Elisabeth has a very good foundation for the basic principles of core stabilization and the human anatomy. Working with her clients for over a decade, she has helped many to achieve their goal either in weight loss or muscle mass gain and core strength. Attending numerous workshops on Rehabilitation, Elisabeth helped her clients with lower back pain, shoulder injuries, knee pain to enjoy a healthy, happy quality life! As an active runner and weight trainer she knows the importance of strong core.
Niloo (short for Niloofar which has the same meaning as Nenuphar in English), has worked as a physiotherapist for 8 years in her country (Iran). Having a master’s degree in Physio and certifications in advanced manual therapy and personal training (from Iran), she is already in the registration process with CAPR to obtain eligibility to practice as a PT in Canada as well. While the registration process is pretty lengthy, Niloo opted for STOTT Pilates to fulfill her passion for helping people improve their pain and optimizing their bodies. She believes that the STOTT method has amazing therapeutic impacts both mentally and physically for people who commit themselves to its principles and repertoire. Besides working (she is a recovering workaholic ;)), Niloo enjoys exploring trekking routes (currently in the process of discovering the ones around Vancouver), mountaineering when good company is available, reading and painting watercolor. Niloo’s motto: ” one step at a time, and you’ll see yourself on the summit! “
Cindy is a devoted practitioner of Pilates, having practiced Pilates for ten years before studying to become an instructor. She took her Pilates certification on both mat and apparatus in Israel, where she lived for 30 years. Cindy studied under Maya Ben Yaakov, who was herself a student of Rael Isacowitz, founder of the BASI Block System. The Block System ensures the progressive structuring of classes within a flexible framework, creating sessions that are balanced, well-rounded, and address all planes of movement and multiple muscle groups. Cindy’s tutelage and experience also include working with clients with special needs, including auto-immune disorders and inflammation. Cindy is also a holistic nutritionist and certified life coach. She has been a passionate devotee ever since and brings a holistic approach to her instruction, focusing on the total well-being of the individual. She is committed to helping everyone live in a healthier, pain free body.
